The training aims to provide insights around GI suturing options and benefits associated with through the scope suturing. The hands-on element on ex-vivo models will allow delegates to practice various suturing techniques guided by expert faculty.
Learning Objectives
Understand the indications and techniques of mucosal defect closure
Understand the various suturing techniques with Endoscopic Needle Holder
• Apply resection and suturing techniques using advanced endoscopic tools.
• Manage complications such as bleeding and perforation.
Who is This Course for?
Experience endoscopist actively completing larger resections where suturing is beneficial for resection site closure accompanied by an experienced nurse. To optimise refining the suturing technique.

13:30-17:30
HALL ANTALYA - 2
Course Directors: David Zimmerman, Sezai Leventoğlu, Fatih Yaşar
Course Objective
This course provides participants with a hands-on learning experience focused on advanced surgical techniques for managing anal fistulas and obstetric anal sphincter injuries (OASIS). Participants will gain step-by-step practical experience on animal and organic models, enhancing their skills in complex fistula repair and sphincter reconstruction
Learning Objectives
Acquire hands-on proficiency in advanced surgical techniques for anal fistulas, including
• Fistulotomy or Fistulectomy with Primary Sphincteroplasty (FIPS)
• Laser Ablation of Fistula Tract (LAFT)
• Ligation of the Intersphincteric Fistula Tract (LIFT)
• Rectal Advancement Flap
Master the repair of 3rd and 4th-degree obstetric lacerations and associated vagino-perineal injuries using organic models.
Understand procedural steps through continuous video demonstrations at each station.
Engage in real-time Q&A with expert trainers to refine techniques and deepen understanding
Who is This Course for?
The target audience for the course includes surgeons and surgical trainees interested in learning advanced surgical techniques for anal fistulas and obstetric anal sphincter injuries (OASIS). Participants will receive hands-on training using animal and organic models, gaining practical experience in complex fistula repair and sphincter reconstruction.
The program is specifically designed for general surgery specialists with a focus on proctology and colorectal surgery.
Key Features
• Continuous Visual Guidance: Step-By-Step Video Presentations at Each Station for Consistent Procedural Guidance.
• Interactive Learning: Real-time Q&A with Expert Trainers During Practical Sessions.
